GHESKIO director meets with Haitian student group during EPI Research Day

Dr. Bill Pape, the director of GHESKIO, met with members of Club Creole last February during his visit to the University of Florida. GHESKIO, which Dr. Pape founded in 1982, was the first institution in the world dedicated to the fight against AIDS. Now it is Haiti's premier public health research institute. Clube Creole is the Haitian student organization at the University of Florida. During their conversation, which took place during the morning preceding his keynote address during EPI Research Day 2017, Dr. Pape and the students spoke about contemporary issues in Haiti, common issues Haitians face while living in the United States, and the career goals of the students.
