Carla Mavian, Ph.D, receives Thomas H. Maren award to support HIV study

Dr. Carla Mavian, a postdoc in the Salemi Lab, won the 2017 Thomas H. Maren award for a project studyiing  progression.

The project, titled, “Salivary mircroRNA as novel biomarkers of HIV/AIDS disease progression in people living with HIV” will be supported by the Thomas Maren Junior Investigator Fund with $50,000 for a two-year study, beginning April 1, 2017.
