Cross-cultural Tuberculosis Training

University of Florida, in collaboration with Programme National de Lutte contre la Tuberculose (PNLT) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Haiti, conducted a comprehensive tuberculosis course for Haiti health care providers to build capacity for clinical knowledge in TB epidemiology, diagnostics, prevention and control. The training course is a five-day day intensive clinical TB course with 14 modules, TB expert instructors and question-and-answer sessions between instructors and participants. The goal of this training is to build enough clinical capacity and knowledge of TB to reduce its prevalence and treat it in Haiti.

Dr. Michael Lazuardo talks about tuberculosis to health care providers in Haiti.
