Insect Expert Writes Op-Ed on Protecting Florida from Zika Virus

Dr. Walter Tabachnick, a professor of entomology in the department of entomology and nematology and a member of the Emerging Pathogens Institute, wrote an opinion piece the Miami Herald published January 25 discussing measures Floridians can take to prevent Zika virus from spreading across the state. His recommendations include applying pesticides where possible and encouraging the public to empty standing water containers.
