March 2, 2017 -- On Thursday, February 23, the Emerging Pathogens Institute hosted its tenth annual Research Day.

On Thursday, February 23, the Emerging Pathogens Institute hosted its tenth annual Research Day. This year's event was the largest one yet, with over 400 people registering to see nearly 150 poster presentations. The keynote addresses were delivered by Drs. Bill Pape and Marc Eloit. Dr. Pape spoke about GHESKIO, a Haitian health organization that was instrumental in the effort toward slowing the spread of HIV and tuberculosis in Haiti. Dr. Eloit, who leads the Pathogen Discovery Laboratory at Institut Pasteur, discussed animal viruses that pass into human populations.
